Our Vision
Founded in 2010, DanceCompany-X began as a small dance group with a big dream. Over the years, the company has grown in both size and reputation, becoming known for producing bold, world-premiere ballets inspired by beloved stories such as Twilight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pippi Longstocking, Annie, Hansel & Gretel, and Wizarding World
Founded in 2010, DanceCompany-X began as a small dance group with a big dream. Over the years, the company has grown in both size and reputation, becoming known for producing bold, world-premiere ballets inspired by beloved stories such as Twilight, Pirates of the Caribbean, Pippi Longstocking, Annie, Hansel & Gretel, and Wizarding World of Ballet.
Under the leadership of Michele Xiques Arnold, DanceCompany-X made history by uniting two extraordinary creative forces—Michelle Parisi, a former professional ballerina, and Mark Parisi, then a 6th-degree black belt, fight trainer, and choreographer—to create and produce the first-ever full-length Twilight Ballet, inspired by Stephanie Meyer’s novels Twilight and New Moon.

They work passionately to create thrilling, unforgettable movement—blending classical technique with stage combat, sword fighting, and expressive acting—to fully showcase the strength, versatility, and artistry of our performers. DanceCompany-X is led by Artistic Director Michele Xiques Arnold, an award-winning choreographer and recipient of the Delaware Division of the Arts Individual Artist Fellowship as an Established Professional, alongside newly appointed Artistic Director Jessica Jones, whose fresh vision and leadership further elevate the company’s innovative spirit.
